Assist in implementing the LDANR's CHAMPS after-school program throughout St Catharines. CHAMPS runs in partnership with the RAFT and United Way. CHAMPS intends to provide mentorship and support to children. CHAMPS also provides educational and homework assistance.

- Offer an ear to listen and a voice of support 
- Exposing a child to new opportunities for competence building 
- Empowering a child, ensuring they believe in themselves, helping them realize their potential

To assist in a school program called 'Red Cap'. The program is an anger (emotions) management program for school age children. You would be helping with songs, games and lesson prep. Set up and tear down of some tech equipment.

The Support Committee does a lot of the "behind the scenes" work to support the activities of the Corps.

-be a friend to their mentee, and maintain contact on a regular and consistent basis 
-be a positive role model, emphasizing behaviour such as trust, respect, reliability, honesty, fairness, commitment, resilience, kindness 
-place primary importance upon the protection and well-being of children and youth 
-be supervised and supported by, and remain accountable to, program staff
