|Description (Service)||A charitable agency, owned and operated by Niagara Peninsula Homes, that provides the following training to women:
Professional Hospitality Food & Beverage Service Certificate Program (8 weeks): Trains women to gain the practical knowledge and certification necessary to gain employment as a Server in the Niagara Hospitality sector. Includes Smart Serve, WHMIS, Customer Service Excellence, Niagara Tourism, First Aid & CPR,Safe Food Handling and Violence & Harassment in the Workplace Section 132 Certificates.
Professional Hospitality Retail and Customer Service Professional Certificate Program (8 weeks): Trains women interested in gaining or enhancing skills required to gain employment in retail stores and other customer service roles. Includes Safe Food Handling, WHMIS, Customer Service Excellence, Niagara Tourism, Cash Handling & Cash Register Basics and Violence & Harassment in the Workplace Section 132 Certificates
Introduction to Office Administration Certificate Program (11 weeks): Training includes time management and organization, keyboarding, processing mail, office politics, resume writing and interview techniques. Certifications include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Customer Service Excellence, Niagara Tourism, WHMIS and Violence & Harassment in the Workplace Section 132
Supporting Heroic Expeditions (S.H.E.) Program: Professional and Leadership Development training and support.
Customer Service & Cash Register Basics Program (3 days)
Safe Food Handling (1.5 days): This training is delivered throughout the region at various times of the year.
Introduction to the Construction Trades Certificate Program (10 weeks): Trains both men and women interested in the construction trades. Certifications include Workplace Health & Safety, Violence & Harassment in the Workplace Section 132, WHMIS, First Aid & C.P.R. and Fall Arrest.
All of Niagara Women's Enterprise Centre's Certificate Programs provide personalized co-operative learning experiences with local employers and/or community agencies.Training is offered throughout the Niagara Region.
