Description (Service) Niagara Workforce Planning Board provides research services and workforce development solutions to local stakeholders for the purpose of advancing Niagara's workforce and economic success. NWPB’s Board of Directors is led by local business and labour representatives with a shared vision of expanded prosperity for all Niagara residents.  
NWPB:  
(1) serves as the voice of labour market insight for Niagara, helping decision-makers at all levels to work together toward a stable and flourishing local workforce and economy  
(2) engages communities in a locally-driven process to identify and respond to key trends, opportunities, and priorities to help improve conditions of the local labour market  
(3) organizes events and activities that promote the importance of education, training and skills upgrading  
(4) orchestrates the NWPB Immigrant Mentorship Program for internationally trained professionals, to help highly trained newcomers establish a local professional network in their field of expertise and better understand their profession from a Canadian perspective. This is part of a broader goal to create a more diverse and inclusive Niagara.
