Service and Access Details
Description (Service) Provides compassionate care, hope and encouragement to people living with life-limiting illnesses, dying, death, loss and grief.  
Free programs and services include: 
 
VISITING VOLUNTEER SERVICE: Trained volunteers provide non-medical support and comfort for clients living with life-limiting illnesses. 
DAY HOSPICE: Clients living with life-limiting illnesses enjoy a day of caring companionship, entertainment and relaxation in a comfortable setting, enabling caregivers to have a day of respite. Program is also offered in Welland (with French language option).  
RESIDENTIAL SERVICES: The Stabler Centre in St. Catharines provides hospice palliative care in a home-like setting for residents of Niagara.  
PALLIATIVE PAIN AND SYMPTOM MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION PROGRAM: Palliative pain and symptom management consultation and interdisciplinary palliative care education to Niagara Health Care Professionals.  
COMMUNITY PALLIATIVE CARE TEAM: Works in partnership with primary care providers, including family physicians and visiting nurses, to provide clients with consistent and comprehensive care in the home. 
BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT: Offered to children, adolescents and adults who are grieving the loss of a loved one, regardless if loved one used Hospice Niagara's hospice palliative care services. Program is not intended to replace one-to-one professional counselling.
Hours Office Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Eligibility Anyone with a life-limiting illness. Parental consent is required for youth under 18 years accessing bereavement programs. Contact our Administration office for details.
