| Description (Service) | Provides therapeutic recreation based services to people with cognitive decline. Service is goal based after initial assessment is complete. Services provided are one-on-one interactions or in small groups. Dementia Care: Recreation based activities and services intended to enhance the quality of life for persons with dementia, stroke, or Parkinson's related memory loss. A session may include socializing, movement based activities, emotional connection, cognitive stimulation and/or leisure education. Physical Program: Safe physical activities to help maintain or improve physical functioning for large motor skills, small motor skills, hand-eye coordination and/or balance. Leisure Education and Socialization: May include exploring new activities that interest clients or discovering new ways with old interests. Consultation: for individuals with loved ones or clients with memory loss or dementia. Yoga: Private and group classes. Chair yoga also available. |
