Description (Service) COVID-19: Closed until further notice.  
A service club whose mandate is to help youth in the area. Optimist International is involved in various youth projects. All money raised by the club must go back to the youth in the community. Some of the ways the club does this are: annual elementary school spelling bee, high school scholarships, youth appreciation dinner, respect for law award, bike safety, school breakfast club, sport sponsorships - girls hockey, football, basketball, soccer, baseball, etc.; kids' fishing derby, children cancer foundation, leadership seminars, and assist with the Terry Fox Run and various other fundraisers. 
Will consider individual requests for funding for children ages 18 and under.
