Offers a wide range of mentoring opportunities to meet the varied needs of volunteers, children and families.

TRADITIONAL PROGRAM Children are matched in one-to-one relationships with adult volunteers who serve as positive role models, offering friendship, support, guidance, and exposure to new opportunities and activities. The volunteer meets with the child for 2-4 hours per week with a minimum commitment of 1 year.

IN SCHOOL MENTORING PROGRAM Provides girls and boys with a role model and a friend to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with, within school grounds. For one hour a week, mentors meet with their mentee and engage in activities such as board games, crafts or just hang out in the playground.The In School Mentoring program requires a weekly visit of 1 hour for the duration of the school year. Matches do not meet over the summer break or during other school holidays. * time commitment is one hour per week

GO GIRLS! HEALTHY BODIES HEALTHY MINDS The Go Girls! program matches Women Mentors aged 18 to 26 with a group of 8-10 girls in grades 5 and 6 or 7 and 8. This 7-10 week program runs in local elementary schools throughout St Catharines and Thorold. The program equips young girls with the tools necessary to make healthy choices around issues of physical activity, balanced eating and feeling good about themselves. Sessions allow participants to take part in fun, educational and active games, healthy snack breaks and discussions aimed at developing self esteem.

GAME ON! EAT SMART, PLAY SMART, LIVE SMART The Game On! program matches groups of boys in grades 7 and 8 with male mentors aged 18 to 26. The key to the program’s success is the relationship that forms between the boys and their mentors. Game On! runs for 7 to 10 weeks during lunch time in local elementary schools throughout St. Catharines and Thorold. Each session is 1-1.5 hours long and allows participants to take part in fun, educational and active games, healthy snack breaks and discussions aimed at making healthier choices.
