Description (Service) | Supports District School Board of Niagara students by engaging the community to provide needed funds and resources where government funding is not available. Through donations the Education Foundation -provides support to students in financial need for basic necessities and extra-curricular activities -provides annual student awards and bursaries -supports progressive programs and services in schools that enrich students’ educational experiences -provides innovative community initiatives such as Prom Project Niagara -manages designated gifts in accordance with donor specifications. Services Student Financial Need Fund: This program helps individual students who experience financial need, allowing them to fully participate in their school setting. Some examples are providing funding for nutrition, personal care products, needed shoes and clothing, necessary medication thanks to the Green Shield Canada Medical Fund, reasonable field trip fees and post secondary school application fees. Prom Project Niagara: Giving students the opportunity to select formal wear free of charge to attend their proms, grads and formals! Registered charity #11905 7586 RR0001. |
