|Description (Service)||The program is established to assist prison inmates integrate into society upon their release from prison. To this extent, volunteers are available to meet with inmates in prison, either on the request of the prisoner or at the direction of other prison staff, to provide such counseling, direction and encouragement as will be helpful to them upon their release. Efforts are made to enable them to return to family living and develop a positive work ethic and personal attitudes and habits.
Program is designed to assist in finding available community services, finding short term housing, finding temporary employment, arranging for transportation, developing responsible attitudes, establishing a support group, pastoral counseling and financial counseling.
This program is run solely by volunteers and co-operates fully with all correctional centers and all other agencies.
