Service and Access Details
Description (Service) A pre-booked, door-to-door service for passengers with special needs, who meet the "Eligibility Criteria", have applied for the service and been approved for the service under specific eligibility criteria. The service is intended for persons who are unable to use conventional transit due to a disability.  
Niagara Specialized Transit is only for those customers who are travelling from one municipality to another for a medical appointment, education or employment purposes. Trips for other purposes may be permitted based on the capacity of the service. A Customer may be accompanied by a Companion, Support person and/or Service Animal, if the need is identified on the application form and approved under the eligibility criteria.  
The inter-municipal specialized transit service of The Region of Niagara is considered a shared ride service. Other customers may be on board during the trip. The route of travel may be altered so another customer can be accommodated. The vehicle may stop and pick up other riders as it travels to a destination. Shared rides lower the cost of the specialized service by increasing productivity

* Reside in the Regional Municipality of Niagara 
* Be travelling from one municipality to another municipality 
* Passengers who require additional accommodation that prevents them from using conventional transit. 
* Elderly persons or dialysis patients are not automatically eligible for this specialized service.

Fees Service ; One way trips within Niagara carry a flat fee cash fare of $6 for adults and $5 for seniors (65+) and elementary and high school students with valid ID. Trips between Port Colborne and Welland, and Fort Erie and Niagara Falls carry a separate fare of $3.50.  
Additional fare media are now available:  
- Adult 10 Ride Card: $45  
- Senior/Student 10 Ride card: $40  
- Adult Monthly Pass (calendar month): $160  
- Senior/Student Monthly Pass (calendar month): $130  
A 10 Ride Card for use on trips between Port Colborne and Welland and between Fort Erie and Niagara Falls is also available for $35.  
Service to Hamilton (medical purposes only) is $15 (one-way) for adults and $14 for seniors/students.
