Description (Service) COVID-19 - Safe shelter continues to be provided to women and children in need of safe refuge. Our 24/7 crisis support line continues to run. Counselling and Transitional Support appointments for women not residing in the shelter will take place by phone. All business appointments will take place by phone. All non-essential visitors will be denied entry to the shelter. All staff and essential visitors will be screened for recent travel, symptoms of COVID-19 and potential exposure prior to entry. The volunteer program is suspended. 
 
Provides transitional support with a feminist framework, to women and children who have experienced abuse.  
 
Provides women and children with temporary transitional housing that is integrated into local communities, with the objective to obtain safe, affordable, and permanent housing. Also offers professional counselling services, advocacy with third parties and helping to connect clients with community resources. 
 
Residential Program - Furnished housing where tenants pay utilities and rent according to their means. Length of stay is approximately one year. Tenants receive regular home visits from a counsellor who helps and supports them in making the legal, financial and emotional changes necessary to their own and their children's healing. 
 
Counselling Program - Offers free counselling to women and children who do not require housing. 
 
Transitional & Housing Support Program & Child & Youth Program - Assists women and children in identifying and connecting with the kinds of supports and services required to establish lives free from abuse, including safety planning, assistance with housing applications and community referrals.
