Service and Access Details
Description (Service) COVID-19: Clients welcome into premises in controlled numbers and by appointment only. Continuing to provide virtual services by phone, email and video meetings and clients will be able to choose how they want to be served. 
 
Provides community-based programs and services to adults and youth in the fields of justice, prevention, employment and education throughout the Niagara Region 
 
Programs include: 
 
Justice 
* Bail Verification and Supervision 
* Adult Community Service Order 
* Adult Diversion 
* Direct Accountability 
* Justice Services Volunteer Program 
* Intermittent Community Work  
* Non-Residential Attendance Centre 
 
Education 
 
RISE (Reducing Incidences of Suspensions and Expulsions) 
* provides education structure and supervision to youth suspended or expelled from DSBN schools  
* RISE: Students suspended for six or more days 
* ensures the opportunity to continue education 
 
Supervised Alternative Learning (SAL) 
* offered in partnership with the Niagara Catholic District School Board and the District School Board of Niagara 
* non-academic programming for students who have been suspended or expelled 
* includes sports and arts programs 
* transportation is funded 
 
Project Rewind (Restore Events With Integrity Negotiation and Dignity) 
* school-based restorative justice program 
* uses restorative conferences to address issues such as bullying, racial and cultural confrontation, relationship difficulties and harassment 
 
Education and Community Partnership Program - Pathways to Success in Schools and Communities- Shifting Gears 
* school-based program to address students emotional, social and academic needs 
* classroom is a prevention program offering DBT Skills Training. There is a DBT informed teacher and trainer/youth worker that will teach and practice DBT skills with the students.

* offered in partnership with the Prevent Challenge foundation 
* provides money in response to requests from the DSBN to at risk youth and families 
 
Strengthening Families for the Future 
* a 14 week program for the whole family which will support healthy communication within the family uni 
* free of charge 
 
 
Employment 
 
Recipe for Success 
* a 16 week employment program which provides training, life skills, transferrable skills to youth ages 15-29 who may have barriers which would hinder them finding and sustaining employment 
* participants are trained in Safe Food Handling, Smart Serve, Service Excellence, First Aid / CPR
