| Description (Service) | A national volunteer organization dedicated to kidney health and improved lives for all people affected by kidney disease. Services include: * Funding for research and related clinical education * Providing information, referrals to services for individuals living with kidney disease * Advocacy for access to high quality health care * Active promotion of awareness and commitment to organ donation * Peer support programs and social groups * Reference library, newsletters, brochures, "child friendly" brochures * Renal education events Kidney Car Program People are invited to donate their used cars * vehicles towed free of charge and recycled * donor receives a tax receipt Kidney Clothes Donation Will pick-up donations of all cloth-based items including: all gently used clothing * footwear and outerwear * belts, ties and purses * yarn, fabric and patterns * blankets, bedding and linens * draperies, pillows and cushions * luggage and sleeping bags |
