Service and Access Details
Description (Service) COVID-19: Program offered virtually at this time.  
 
A program that helps families and children from birth to two years of age, who may be developing more slowing than expected, or are at risk of doing so due to medical or birth issues. 
 
A staff member will work with families to: 
* Assess child's development 
* Design activities to enhance child's skills, such as tummy time moves 
* Link parents to community services and resources that will help  
* Support parents in setting goals for their child 
 
Family participation is an important part of this program.
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:15 pm 
Home visits vary
Eligibility Children from birth to two years old, who:  
* May be developing more slowly than expected 
* Have experienced birth or medical problems or genetic disorders 
* Were premature  
* Have hearing and / or visual impairments 
* Multiple births, such as twins, triplets
Application Referrals can be made to Infant and Child Development Services by pediatricians, family physicians, public health nurses, social services and community agencies. Parents must be aware of referrals made to this program.
