|Description (Service)||Free clinics, classes and groups on different topics throughout pregnancy and parenthood. Parents, caregivers and support people are welcome. Clients may register for more than one service at a time.
Baby Talk Classes: Meet weekly with a group of parents, their babies (0 to six months) and a public health nurse for four weeks. Have your questions answered and discuss infant health and development topics.
Baby Sleep Classes: Parents and caregivers will learn tips on healthy sleep for their babies six to 12 months old. The class is led by a public health nurse.
Positive Parenting Program (Triple P): Classes offered for parents with children 0-12 years and 12-17 years. Learn skills on how to work on relationships with your children or preteens and teenagers and manage behaviour issues. Classes are delivered in a group setting by a public health nurse.
Breastfeeding Clinics: Book a one-on-one appointment with a public health nurse who has expertise in breastfeeding support. Get help with issues related to pain, latch and low milk supply, or other challenges you may be facing.
Car Seat Classes: Available throughout the year to teach parents and caregivers how to safely install and use their own child car seats. Each class is 60 minutes long. Sessions are offered by community partners, and cover all types of seats, including rear-facing, forward-facing and booster, for children of all ages.
