Description (Service) | Provides microfinancing and mentoring to individuals interested in becoming self-employed or starting a business and/or entrepreneurs and who are living with or have experienced mental illness and addictions. RISE is a charity organization partnered with the support of the Rotman School of Management and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). The Rotman School and CAMH participate in advisory functions, volunteering their respective expertise in business mentoring and mental health supports to the benefit of clients. |

Eligibility | Ages: 18 year(s) and up Qualifying candidates have experienced or are experiencing mental health or addition issues,are interested in self-employment or starting a business (full or part-time), cannot qualify for a traditional loan, are not in an active bankruptcy, are not behind payments with Student Loans and CRA and/or child supports, and are willing to submit a business plan and budget, provide personal information, register a business and agree to work with a mentor. |
