Description (Service)The Society holds informative monthly meetings, which include horticultural displays and design competitions. Hold an annual Rose, Flower and Vegetable Show for the public and conduct a fund raising Spring Plant Sale and a Garden Walk. Members enjoy interesting speakers, a monthly newsletter, a yearbook, email notice of upcoming events, discounts at local nurseries, floral design seminars, help with gardening problems and informal "members only" garden strolls throughout the year. Fundraising efforts support many community projects. In addition to plantings, the society sponsors the Summer Trillium Awards, the "Schools in Bloom" program, an annual scholarship with the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture, and an annual scholarship with Niagara College.
