Description (Service) Support, advocacy, information, referral and recreational activities for persons affected by acquired brain injuries and their families 
* Caregiver Support/Spousal- monthly evening meeting held on-site 
* Closed Peer Group - Moving Ahead After Brain Injury Group - meetings 2/month off-site 
* Closed Youth Peer Group (19-30 years) monthly meetings held off site.  
* Peer support Group- St. Catharines (monthly) off site meetings 
* Peer support Group - Welland - off site meetings 
* Peer Support Group - Niagara Falls - off site meetings 
* Peer Mentoring Program (in process of setting this up) 
* Seasonal outings 
Annual concussion awareness and prevention campaigns in community to encourage wearing appropriate helmet for sports activities.

Eligibility Ages: 19 year(s) and up 
Adults 19 years of age and older with an acquired brain injury and their families/caregivers residing in area of service

Fees None ; None; BIAN membership and/or program fee required for individuals with an acquired brain injury who wish to access YMCA (also, subject to completion of required forms and physician's certification, and must reside in our area of service, and meet our eligibility criteria.)  
Access for YMCA in Fort Erie (includes catchment area of Crystal Beach, Stevensville, and Ridgeway) is available subject to program fee, on a non member basis, and must meet our eligibility criteria.
Events Holds biennial conference in October to provide information for professionals, families and/or caregivers and individuals who have sustained an Acquired Brain Injury on various issues related to brain injury.  
Annual seasonal summer awareness- prevention campaign- We Caught You Using Your Head, concussion awareness events, Head for the Hills annual race/Corporate Challenge event, Annual Food for Thought gala.
