Description (Service) | Regulates products, not services, relating to medical devices. Receives complaints and general inquiries about failures, malfunctions or problems with medical devices such as hearing aids and medical equipment such as x-ray machines and oxygen dispensers. Problems could be minor malfunctions to design flaws and products creating serious health hazards. Also includes syringes, pacemakers, contact lenses, vaporizers, heating pads, rubber gloves, masks, tampons, breast implants or anything sold for therapeutic, contraceptive or diagnostic purposes. Calls will be answered on a priority basis. One can also contact this office for information about marketing medical devices. |
