Description (Service) | COVID-19 Service Changes - All inquiries call 905-871-1592 ext 24. Leave messages on ext 24 and 21 only * The food bank is open. Prepackaged hampers are being handed out at the door. * Perishable pick up is suspended * Utility appointments are now available. * OESP may be completed if required. Call first * Virtual Tax Clinic (CVITP) available to residents of Niagara Region. * No community meals (Sat, Tue or Thu) within Fort Erie until further notice A community service hub providing: * Emergency food bank * Utility assistance * Community luncheon * Mobile outreach program (food truck) * Christmas assistance * Income tax clinics * Emergency disaster services * Emergency clothing and furnishings * Office space provided for credit counseling and more Food Bank: Clients may come for assistance once per calendar month for full food bank services, as well as any food bank day for perishable items such as bread, fruits, and vegetables Utility Assistance: Provides intake for the Niagara Emergency Energy Fund (NEEF) and the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) for emergency financial assistance for low income households facing disconnection (gas or hydro). May also be able to assist with Town of Fort Erie water bills. Monthly Community Lunches: Free meal and fellowship provided through an ongoing partnership with a local church Tax Clinics: CVITP clinic run in conjunction with CRA. Runs from Mar-Oct and provides e-filing of simple tax forms Emergency Disaster Services: A team of individuals trained and prepared to be deployed at a moment's notice to provide emergency disaster assistance locally or throughout North America |
