Service and Access Details
Description (Service) McFarland House was restored by The Niagara Parks Commission and opened to the public in 1959. Built in 1800, the house is one of the few buildings in Niagara-on-the-Lake that survived the War of 1812. The glass-enclosed McFarland Conservatory Tea Room offers lunches and afternoon tea. Seasonal tours of the historic home and heritage garden are available daily by Niagara Parks interpreters, as well as Christmas programming in December. The house is located in a park setting, with playground facilities and a baseball diamond. A covered picnic pavilion seats 250 people and has running water and washroom facilities nearby.
