Back to School Supplies *In any city a client may contact the child’s school principal to see if they can help with a backpack or school supplies. The schools may have access to support from several different organizations (i.e. United Way, Education Foundation)

Niagara Region 2017 - CAPC Niagara Brighter Futures Backpacks and school supplies may be available to registered participants in the CAPC Brighter Futures program (children six years and under). Application: Call Judy to register at 905-714-0227 ext 239 * As supplies last

Niagara Falls . 2017 - Project Share Offering new backpacks, shoes and school supplies to school aged children living below the poverty line in Niagara Falls in late August, while supplies last and all donations are distributed. Welland 2017 - Open Arms Mission Open Arms mission has partnered with Giant Tiger to provide backpacks for back to school and Staples Welland for school supplies for their clients. If someone is not a client, they may still be provided a backpack if they are willing to register as a client (while supplies last). Application: Visit Mission Centre at 22 Fifth Street, Welland Tue - Fri 9:30 - 11:45 am until Aug 31, 2017. Proof of Welland/Wainfleet residence, income and photo ID for each member in the household.

Fort Erie 2017 - Community Outreach Program Erie Community Outreach Program Erie (COPE) is NOT running a specific back-to-school program. However, it is possible that members of the public could donate back-to-school items, so persons in need can check to see if COPE might have anything by chance. Grimsby 2017 - Grimsby Benevolent Fund Provides children with a new backpack, lunch bag, school supplies, running shoes and some school snacks. Individuals and families who are registered with the organization’s food bank are provided with the opportunity to sign-up for the program. May be eligible if a resident of Grimsby and household annual income is identified as “Low Income”. West Lincoln 2017 - West Lincoln Community Care Backpacks for children in grades K - Grade 12 are distributed to families in need within the West Lincoln community. Program runs through the month of August and first week of September. If eligible for food program at WLCC, clients will also be eligible for backpacks. Application: Call Alisa at 905-957-5882, email: wlcc@bellnet.ca or visit West Lincoln Community Care, 2660 Industrial Park Rd Smithville, ON and register for food program.

West Niagara 2017 - Community Care of West Niagara The Back-to-School program provides a backpack filled with school supplies to children and youth from low-income families. The backpack comes fully equipped with grade specific supplies needed for each child to be successful at school. The program also works in partnership with CTFS Jumpstart Sneaker program in providing a new pair of sneakers so that kids can be active in school.
