Description (Service) | COVID19 - Emergency bags of food are being distributed through the warehouse door off North St, ID will be required. Clothing available to those in need - call to arrange. Given the current situation, donations of “FOOD AND FUNDS” only will be accepted at this time. Unfortunately donations of clothing and household goods cannot be accepted at this time. Accepts donations of and distributes food, good used clothing (including winter clothing), small household articles to residents facing financial challenges Emergency medical/dental vision care assistance available on case by case basis dependant on available funds (dental cleaning/scaling not applicable) Life skills training includes Savoury Samplings Program & Community Gardens. Back to School Snacks & Sneakers program in late August (backpacks and school supplies while supplies last) Shelter issues are addressed through the Housing Help Program. Trusteeships are provided to those experiencing money management issues. Assistance with replacing ID for registered clients is available through the housing program. Administers the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program for St Catharines residents. Jumpstart provides financially disadvantaged children, aged 4-18 years, with the opportunity to participate in sports and recreational activities. Call 905-685-1349 ext 228 for more information. |
