|Description (Service)||Manages the local licensed child care system on behalf of the provincial government.
There are over 160 licensed child care centres in Niagara. One application can be filled to be on the list for multiple child care options and before/after school programs through the Niagara Child Care Registry.
There are five licensed child care centres directly operated by Niagara Region Children's Services providing care for children from 18 months-5 years of age, except for the Branscombe Early Learning and Family Centre, which accommodates children from birth-5 years of age and Port Colborne Regional Child Care Centre, which accommodates children 18 months-13 years of age.
Niagara Region Children’s Services is also a licensed agency with contracts with home child care providers across Niagara for children from birth-12 years of age.
Niagara Region Children’s Services offers financial help with the costs of:

* Seasonal camps
* Sports and culture programs (ProKids)
