Volunteer Opportunities: Public speaking to groups about realities of lupus; deliver & display posters throughout Niagara Region for upcoming events; deliver and monitor coin boxes at various businesses; attend Health Fairs and luncheons throughout Region on behalf of Lupus Foundation of Ontario; arrange and assist at Fundraisers; offer telephone support to shut-ins; deliver up-to-date medical information to area doctors and medical clinics, restock brochures and bookmarks throughout region at libraries, drug stores, clinics, etc.

Volunteers for "Walk for Lupus" [ More info  ]       
Volunteers needed for: "2013 Walk for Lupus" 
Throughout the Niagara Region - Niagara Falls, Ridgeway, Stevensville, Fort Erie, Welland, Wainfleet, Port Colborne, St. Catharines, etc. areas during the spring and summer months.  
(Walks will take place in communities across Ontario.) Needed are team leaders to recruit walkers and pledges. Donations of prizes would also be appreciated for presentation to the walkers who donate the most money, etc. 
 
Funds from these provincial walks will be used to develop information packages to assist patients, families, teachers, medical personnel, to see lupus through the eyes of a child. Currently, there is not a definitive package available to assist parents dealing with the many facets of lupus.
