The Tuck Shop Attendant is a regularly-scheduled volunteer responsible for running the ‘convenience store’ during their designated shift. The tuck shop allows residents and visitors to purchase necessary household items without leaving the facility. The Tuck Shop Attendant will: organize stock on shelves in a presentable manner, use the cash register to check out customers' purchases, ensure cashier countertop/area is neat and tidy at end of shift.

Facilitate (with a Co-mentor) 8-10 sessions to teach young boys about Healthy Eating, Active Living, Wise Decision Making, and Developing a Positive Self-Esteem. The program typically runs after school, lasting about two hours, with 8-12 boys in each group. 
 
The program is designed to be FUN and interactive through games, discussions and snack time.

Food Bank Quality Control Volunteer [ More info  ]  
1. Receive food donations and stock shelves. 
2. Check and label expiry and best before dates on all items received. 
3. Oversee the distribution of food to clients after they have been seen by the intake worker/volunteer. 
4. Oversee monthly inventory of items with the help of Food Bank Administrative Volunteer and Intake Worker. 
5. Separate bulk items into individual packaging. 
6. Inform Manager when critically low on staple items. 
7. Maintain a clean and safe Food Bank atmosphere. 
8. Treat all clients with utmost dignity and respect. 
9. Attend Ministry Unit staff meetings as requested.
