Connecting Newcomers to Canada with Volunteers from the Community! 
 
The Community Connections Volunteers share time with new immigrants during their first months/years in Canada. Volunteers help newcomers get used to living in Canada in such areas as: banking and grocery shopping, getting around the community and finding major services in the area, getting used to their new home, and becoming familiar with English and French, enrolling in the local school, operating household appliances, using the transit system and more .... 
 
Other Volunteer opportunities withing the Community Connection Program are: conversation circle facilitator, group activity assistant, club organizer, special skill or talent trainer, etc.
