Volunteers are needed to plant, weed, water and harvest produce at Project Share's Community Garden located at Our Lady of the Scapular Church, Thorold Stone Rd, Niagara Falls. The produce is grown to provide needy families in Niagara with fresh nutritious foods in hopes of preventing childhood obesity and improving overall nutrition.

Volunteer Coordinator Assistant 
• Log volunteer hours on a weekly basis 
• Update volunteer bulletin board 
• Maintain and create volunteer files 
• Updating our volunteer active list 
• Assist with ReStore requests (signage, volunteer hours etc). 
• Responding to new volunteer inquires 
 
Requirements 
• Commit to a minimum of one shift for 4 hours a week 
• A 6 month commitment  
• Organized  
• Acts in a professional manner  
• A people person 
 
Event Committee 
• Provide assistance with preparation for events (Christmas Party, AGM, Golf Tournaments, Business After 5) 
• Assist in the set up and tear down of supplies, equipment and other various things 
• Help with the pick ups and drop offs before and after events 
• Responsible for registration tables day of events 
• Other duties as assigned 
 
Requirements 
• Access to a vehicle 
• Early morning, afternoon, evening availability 
• Able to work well under tight deadlines and pressure 
• Act in a professional manner  
• Works well in a team environment 
 
Salvage Team: 
• Salvage items from donor’s homes during renovations and demolitions (cabinetry, doors, windows, etc.), full kitchens are our main focus 
• Assist in loading and unloading these salvaged items from donor’s home to ReStore vehicles to ReStore 
 
Requirements 
• Knowledge of renovations and/or construction a must 
• Able to lift up to 65 lbs.  
• Steel toe footwear 
• Professional communication 
• Safety conscious 
 
ReStore Crew Member: 
• Provide customer service  
• General housekeeping tasks. 
• Assist with merchandise pick ups  
• Assist in loading and unloading merchandise from customer’s vehicles and ReStore vehicles  
• Repair damaged merchandise  
• Assemble merchandise  
• Assist in moving merchandise onto the sales floor
