| Duties | Help to plan events for the youth program. Events can include things like the Amazing Race, Cookoff, Cooking Classes, Sports events, Outings and more. We are looking for youth with great ideas we are open to try new things and need a team of youth to help us make our youth services programming better! | |||
| Benefits | There are many benefits from volunteering. Primarily you will meet a great number of people from a variety of countries. You will learn about other cultures as well as sharing information about your own. If you are a high school student and you need your volunteer hours, you can earn them through volunteering with our program. | |||
| Clients | Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre serves newcomers to Canada. The youth host program services clients who have been granted permanent status in Canada as well as convention refugees. | |||
| Dates and Times | Monday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening Tuesday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening Wednesday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening Thursday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening Friday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening Saturday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening Sunday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening Schedules are set monthly. We can discuss your availability and work around you! | |||
| Seasons | Year Round ; We have volunteer positions throughout the entire year. | |||
| Location | Locations vary but within St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Grimsby and Lincoln | |||
| Accessibility | Partially Accessible ; Close to public transit. Some free parking available in the parking lot directly behind the centre. | |||

| Commitment Length | Short Term ; Long Term ; If possible, a six month commitment is best; but we will consider volunteers at a minimum commitment of three months. | |||
| Training | We offer training when you first become a volunteer, as well as on-going support and additional training opportunities throughout the year. | |||
| Transportation | On Bus Route ; When group activities occur there may be the ability to car pool with others. | |||

| Cost | There are no fees involved with this program. We require a police check but we will reimburse you the money for this upon handing in the receipt for the police check. | |||
