Duties1. Attend all community council meetings (monthly) and give a financial report, including transactions and balance for that period. Submit a written report to be attached to minutes 
2. Complete year end financial statement and submit to your Provincial Staff Representative during the month of July 
3. Maintain accurate financial record of the Community’s transactions, including receipts and bank statements 
4. Maintain accurate financial record of Sport Team Account transactions, including receipts. 
5. Act as one of three signing authorities within the Community. 
6. Issue cheques for volunteer expenses 
7. Act as a resource to Community volunteers on all financial matters. 
8. Ensure that proper financial accountability is maintained within the Community and that SOO’s financial policies are adhered to 
9. With the assistance of the Head Coaches, Community Coordinator and Sport Technical Coordinator (if applicable), prepare and submit all applications for grants to the Provincial office 
10. With the assistance of the Community Coordinator, Executive Members, and Head Coaches prepare the annual budget for the community 
11. Review and be familiar with sections 1,2,4,6,12,16 and 18 on the information portal 
12. Maintain Special Olympics e-mail address that is provided to you, if applicable

ClientsSpecial Olympics Ontario provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities. There are clients from all age groups.
