DutiesWe are the Rape Crisis Centre for the Niagara region. We need volunteers to help with our 24-hour crisis line, peer support program, front desk reception, and accompaniment programs. 10-week training program provided. Learn about the impacts of trauma, responding and crisis intervention skills.

3 courses run per year, fall, winter and spring.  
 
BenefitsWork from your home, gain experience in social work and counseling fields, maximum 4-6 shifts per month, customize your own volunteer hours, great for students, women who work in the home. 
 
Gain experience as a crisis line counselor and then access peer support, and advocacy and accompaniment programs.
ClientsAdult survivors of childhood rape, sexual abuse, incest and adult sexual assault.
