| Description | A regional care facility for children with special needs, which is a resource of last resort for individuals with high needs. It is a wheelchair accessible planned respite program running from Friday to Sunday. Availability includes weekend respite throughout the year, as well as up to nine weeks of 24-hour respite support during the summer. A new afterschool respite program is being offered for children with a variety of special needs, including medical, behavioural, autism and mental health diagnoses. The program provides temporary care for school-aged children. It supports eight children at a time between the ages of five and 18. | |||
