| Description | A non-profit organization of volunteers, working closely with the Recreation and Community Services Department, to naturalize the city-owned Malcolmson Eco-Park. Focus of the activities includes the planting of the open area with tall grass prairie plants and replacing exotic tree species with native and Carolinian species. The organization requires volunteers to plant trees and wildflowers, weed flower beds, mulch trees and shrubs and pot seedlings in the greenhouse. Host Earth Day celebrations each year, have native plant sales, and provide tours of the park by appointment. |
