DescriptionProvides temporary housing and shelter for women who are homeless, for any reason, in a safe, homelike environment. Any woman, and her children, requiring shelter are welcome. The minimum age for admittance is 16 years old. Per-night fees are based on each individual's ability to pay but subsidies are available for people who are unable to pay. Facility has 8 single rooms, 4 double rooms and 1 large family unit; shared washroom/bath/shower facilities and provides breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack to the residents. Programs available for children staying at the centre (St Catharines). The centre is staffed by women's advocates who work with residents to assist them in goal planning and accessing community resources in their search for affordable housing.
