DescriptionAn educational facility that provides safety education to all children across the Niagara Region. Students in kindergarten to grade eight are taught by uniformed officers including Police, Fire, Emergency Medical Services (Paramedics) and Emergency Management (Be Disaster Ready) Students are bussed in from across the Region and come for half day or full day to participate in a hands-on learning experience to give them the knowledge and confidence to remain calm in an emergency situation. 
 
The curriculum is in line with the Ministry of Education guidelines and is approved by the area school boards. Also provides safety education to community groups such as Community Living, Home Schoolers, Girl Guides & Scouts, Special Needs youth/adults and Seniors. Can also provide one-on-one instruction between one of the officers and a child who is experiencing anxieties or fears. 
 
The cost for a half day is $3 per child and a $2 donation per parent volunteer. Cost for full day is $5 per child and a $2 donation per parent volunteer. The full day program allows children to bring their lunches and eat at the Safety Village.
