DescriptionPsycho-Educational Assessments evaluate specific factors that contribute to a child's learning problems. Recommendations will be provided to address these problems. 
 
The Assessment is completed by a Psychometrist and it includes clinical interviews and formalized testing using standardized assessment tools, a written report with findings, written and oral communication of results, and recommendations for intervention or placement, if appropriate. 
 
Before the final report is released to the parent, the testing and consultation results are reviewed, approved, and signed by our consulting psychiatrist who is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. 
 
The service is available to children in grades 1 through 12.

ApplicationTo make a referral the parent/guardian can call Pathstone directly at 905-688-6850, ext. 112. The Manager, Robert Lucyk, will take the necessary information and assign a Psychometrist to the family. The family will then be contacted by the Psychometrist to set up appointments.
FeesThe cost of the assessment is $1400 which takes between 10-15 hours to complete depending on the complexity of the case. Parents' EAP plans are accepted. Psycho-educational assessments are recognized by Boards of Education for IEP purposes. EAP funding accepted.
