DescriptionProvides transitional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children. The project is committed to providing interim housing and counselling services to enable survivors to enhance and develop the ability and skills necessary to lead independent lives.  
* furnished housing * tenant pay utilities and rent according to their means * length of stay from one month up to a year * regular home visits from a counsellor * help and support while the individuals make legal, financial and emotional changes necessary to their own and their children's healing * also offers counselling to women who do not require housing (no fees)  
 
West Niagara Second Stage Housing and Counselling also provides a Transitional Housing Support Worker. The THSW can assist women in identifying and connecting with the kinds of supports and services required to establish violence and abuse free lives. All services are free, confidential and include: housing support planning, legal advocacy, individual counselling and assisting women in meeting their goals and carrying out transitional plans.

ApplicationIt is not a 24 hour emergency service. Women can be referred by other agencies or they can call directly. An application form is available and can be mailed or faxed.
