| Description | SUMMER DAY CAMPS: Crafts and lots of sports including swimming, games, guests, presentations and weekly trips are planned. Each group will have activities geared to their age. The Recreation & Culture Division programs are fully integrated welcome children with special needs/disabilities. The City of Welland and Community Living Welland/Pelham presents the 2012 Summer Camp Program in partnership. Camp Staff will contact the parents/guardians to discuss support requirements. The location for summer day camps is Eastdale Secondary School. MUNCHKINS PRESCHOOL CAMP: Ages 3-5yrs (must be toilet trained) FUN FACTORY: Ages 6-8yrs KOOL KIDS: Ages 9-12yrs ***************** LEADER IN TRAINING PROGRAM I & II: (Ages 13-15) July 3-20 (Mon-Fri - 3 weeks) Aug 7-24 (Mon-Fri - 3 weeks) Program held at the Camp location. LIT’s are not paid staff but youth in training for future employment opportunities. This program is designed to teach the new leader about teamwork, co-operation, introductory leadership development and initiative taking. Participants will spend part of each week in groups with other LIT’s and camp leaders, combined with lots of supervised hands-on experience. A t-shirt is included as well as an official Leader In Training manual and a certificate for successful completion of all course requirements. An appreciation BBQ event will also be planned for all participants at the end of each session. | |||

| Application | Registration begins February 25, 2012 at 145 Lincoln Street (Welland Community Wellness Complex). Weekly payments by post-dated cheques or credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express) are required for each child at the time of registration. Fees stated are for Welland residents. There is an additional $1/day fee for non-Welland residents. | |||
| Fees | Program - Munchkins, Fun Factory or Kool Kids are $21.50/day or $94/week; Trip day ONLY $30.00; Non-resident Fee $1.00 per day extra. ; Camp Refund Policy: Transferring of days will not be permitted; Withdrawal requests made more than five business days prior to the start of the registered Camp week are subject to a $5 administration fee per day/child; Withdrawal requests made within five business days prior to the start of the registered Camp week are subject to a $12 administration fee per day/child; Once the Camp week has started NO REFUNDS will be issued. | |||
