These organizations are offering Christmas meals:

ST CATHARINES 2012:

The Salvation Army Booth Centre, 184 Church St, is offering dinner at 3pm and 5:30pm, on Wed Dec 12, 2012, at Westminster United Church on Queenston St (beside the General Hospital) St Catharines. Gifts for children (up to age 12) attending the dinner and door prizes for adults. Tickets can be picked up at The Salvation Army Booth Centre, Mon-Fri 8 am-4 pm. Individuals can give information on their children's ages etc. (for gifts) when they pick up their tickets. For more information call 905-684-7813.

The Canadian Auto Workers are sponsoring the Annual Community Dinner on Thurs Dec 27, 2012 from 1-6pm at the CAW Hall, 124 Bunting Rd. Everyone is welcome. Transportation is available: In St. Catharines at Community Care, 12 North St or the Salvation Army Booth Centre, 184 Church St. In Welland at The Hope Centre at 179 East Main St.. In Fenwick at The Royal Bank and in Fonthill at Pelham Cares. For pick-up and drop-off times for transportation and general information call 905-682-2611 ext 228.

Out-of-the-Cold Programs, St Catharines
Silver Spire United Church (formerly called St Paul St United Church), 366 St Paul St will be offering a dinner on Christmas Eve, Mon Dec 24, 2012 at 6pm (part of the regular Out-of-the-Cold program). The Cathedral of St Catherine, 3 Lyman St (at 67 Church St) will be offering a dinner on Christmas Day, Tues Dec 25, 2011 at 6pm (part of the regular Out- of-the-Cold program) - no need to register. Stella's Restaurant: The St Catharines Standard, Niagara College Canada, Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce and Stella's will host the 13th annual "Spirit of Christmas Dinner" for those in need on Tue Dec 25, 2012 from 12-5 at Stella's downtown St Catharines. Joey's Only Seafood Restaurant, 318 Ontario St, is not holding its Annual Christmas Dinner this year. For further information contact 905-685-3474.

MacFrugal's Furniture store at 353 St Paul St, will be offering free Christmas hams, potatoes and vegetables for Christmas on Dec 15, 2012 at 10 am. It is on a first come, first serve basis. For more information call 905-988-9928

NIAGARA FALLS 2012:
The Niagara Worship Centre is offering their Annual Christmas Eve Friendship Dinner on Mon Dec 24, 2012 at 4:30pm to those less fortunate, or who are alone at Christmas. Doors open at 4pm. The free turkey dinner includes toys and gifts for everyone. The Carol Sing and Giveaway begins at 6pm. Call 905-356-0635 for more information.

Niagara Falls Community Outreach, 4865 St Lawrence Ave will not be offering lunches or dinners on Dec 25, 2012 and Jan 1, 2013. Will be closed Christmas Eve as well. Call 905-354-1640 for more information.

Redeemer Bible Church 5074 Victoria Ave, Niagara Falls will be offering a family Christmas dinner on Sat. Dec 8, 2012 punch will be served at 5:30, dinner at 6 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children. Call ahead of time for tickets. For more information call 905-356-6888.

WELLAND 2012:
Community Christmas Dinner offered at Notre Dame High School on Wed Dec 12, 2012 at 5pm. Doors open at 4:30. The dinner is being put on by the Hope Centre and Notre Dame High School. Welland Transit will provide free transportation to and from the dinner. See the Hope Center in advance for bus ticket to be used during dinner time on that day.**

Christmas Community Dinner offered on Sat Dec 22, 2012 at 12 noon at the Feastivities Conference Centre, 162 Hagar St Welland. Hosted by: Faith Welland Church, Feastivities Conference Centre, and Open Arms Mission. Open to those living in poverty and anyone who is alone for Christmas. No registration necessary. Transportation is available from Open Arms Mission leaving at 11am. For further information contact 905-788-3800.

FORT ERIE 2012:
Various churches in Fort Erie offer a noon meal on the different Saturdays of each month:
3rd Sat (Dec 15, 2012)--St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 310 Central Ave from 11 am-2 pm
4th Sat -- St Paul's Anglican Church, 32 Idylewyde St will not be offering a noon meal in Dec 2012

PORT COLBORNE 2012:
Community Christmas Dinner on Dec 25, 2012 at Port Colborne High School, 211 Elgin St. The festivities will take place in the school's cafeteria. Doors open at 12:30pm and dinner will be served at 1pm. Port taxi has also volunteered to give rides to the high school for those that might not be able to get there.
