DescriptionA non-profit addiction agency providing long-term residential care to men and women with a history of chronic drug abuse. Stonehenge offers a model of care which is based on the belief that drug addiction is an acquired lifestyle. Offers an alternative lifestyle ~ explores behaviours and values ~ four to six month treatment stay ~ four progressive phases of treatment ~ continuing care available for a period of two years ~ rural setting ~ daily routine to promote healthy lifestyles ~ group and individual therapy ~ men's and women's issues groups ~ life skills ~ anger management ~ recreation ~ art therapy ~ weekly non-residential group ~ support group for family members ~ continuing care for graduates and opportunity for graduates to enter the Addictions Supportive Housing (ASH) program ~ non-residential programs ~ methadone clinic.
