DescriptionAn association of community members promoting the 'no kill' philosophy for displaced domestic animals and pets owned by persons of low income by supporting or providing programs including:  
 
High Volume, Low Cost Spay/Neuter Programs 
(CAAN does not currently offer this service itself, but may be able to direct people to where they can find it.)  
 
Affordable Basic Veterinary Care for Low Income Pet Owners and Displaced Domestic Animals 
(CAAN does not currently offer this service itself, but may be able to direct people to where they can find it.) 
 
Offers Pet Adoption Programs 
Including Pet Retention Programs assisting people to retain their pets in their home and also to find their pets when lost (Operation NORTH STAR) in order to reduce the number of pets going into the shelter system. 
 
The CatMobile functions as an adoption outreach program by taking homeless cats and kittens into different communities to encourage adoptions. It also acts an education 'vehicle' to increase public awareness and encourage public support of the 'no kill' philosophy in the community. The CatMobile is also available for other charities to take THEIR cats/kittens to other events of their choosing.
