DescriptionSafety at Home provides free home assessments and recommendations to help seniors remain healthy, safe and independent in their homes. Services include referrals to other supports, options for the installation of grab bars, home repairs, modifications and snow removal. 
 
The program also offers falls prevention education and assistive devices options. Public education wellness speaker can also be requested. 
 
Snow Buddies Student volunteers are matched with a senior, to help keep their driveway/pathway clear of snow. This assistance is aimed to help prevent falls. Snow Buddies will make themselves available when they are called by their matched senior or when there is a snowfall. Volunteer application also available on the CSSN website. Call or email for more information about becoming a volunteer Snow Buddy. In addition new this year: Leaf Buddies, volunteers are also needed to rake leaves for seniors.
