DescriptionThe Enhanced Driver's Licence (EDL) can be used as a passport alternative at Canada-US land and water border crossings, but a valid passport is required for entering the US by air. The EDL contains includes a Canadian citizenship identifier and a radio frequency identification technology (RFID) chip.

- Valid Ontario driver's licence in good standing 
- proof of citizenship 
- your completed Entitlement Document (request by phone or online) 
- copy of the Consent Form (request by phone or online)
FeesService - $40 to cover the costs of the EDL application
