| Description | The local public transit service serving St Catharines and Thorold. Also provides a local charter service and a paratransit system for the disabled. Connections available at Brock University to/from Niagara Transit and Welland Transit. New Bylaw - 2004 - All cars, trucks, taxis and motorcycles will be required to yield to buses leaving bus stops. Buses now have 'YIELD' signs on the back of the buses. The Downtown Transit Hub is located in the MTO building - 70 Carlisle St. The Hub accommodates the City and Inter-City buses with 16 dedicated platforms and a large indoor passenger waiting area. A senior or a student may be asked for identification proving their age or attendance in school. All St Catharines bus routes are now fully accessible - these buses are equipped with a ramp that allows easy access to the front doors for walkers, strollers, wheelchairs and scooters. All buses are also equipped with bike racks. Paratransit registrants can use the city bus accessible routes as well as the Paratransit buses. | |||
