DescriptionProvides support programs and information on learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Disorder.  
FAMILY SUPPORT Provides children and adolescents with support through volunteers who have successfully completed the training program. Parent program offered in St. Catharines. 
CHILDREN Reading Rocks! A one-on-one literacy program provided by a trained volunteer tutor (often a post-secondary school student), who designs an individual literacy program based on child’s needs. Child and tutor work at their self-created work station on literacy activities, while graphing their success to increase self-motivation. Ages 6 – 16 years. 
READING ROCKS JUNIOR (4 - 6 years) small group early intervention literacy program running in Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, St. Catharines, Thorold (coming to South Niagara) for families with children needing extra support in their early literacy skills. 
CHILDREN SOCIAL SKILLS BEST (Better Emotional & Social Times) a small group program for children ages 6 – 11 who struggle with their social skills and need to learn self-advocacy skills. A facilitator leads a group of children through various activities covering topics such as self-advocating, listening skills, organization, respect, caring, manners, cooperation, strategies and more!  
PARENT SUPPORT P.A.C.E. (Parents Advocating - Children Excelling). Helps parent gain a better understanding of their child's learning needs. Provides strategies, current resource materials, guest speakers, advocacy skills. Open discussion around topics such as IEPs/IPRCs, speaking to professionals, what is and what is not a learning disability (the basics), strategies and tools, advocating for your child and more. 
OTHER Assists with information from the resource library and assists with obtaining professional contacts who know and understand about learning disabilities. Helps families to understand what their rights are in regards to their child's education while promoting self-advocacy.  
LENDING LIBRARY Specialty books are available to members of LDANR without charge. Attention Deficit Disorder, Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities, Teaching/Learning Strategies, Parenting, Tourette Syndrome etc.  
SUMMER PROGRAM A day program (Mon–Fri 9–4) for children 6 to 12 years of age designed to foster literacy, self-advocacy/social skills and self-esteem. Includes a recreational component! 
SUMMER PROGRAM A day program for grade 8 students to help them prepare for a successful transition into secondary school.  
All programs are designed for individuals with a diagnosed or undiagnosed learning disability. Please note that LDs are specific and not global impairments; therefore are distinct from intellectual disabilities.
