Description	The Independent Learning Centre (ILC) provides a wide range of distance education courses that allow adults to earn secondary school diploma credits, upgrade their basic skills, or study for personal development.  Courses available: Secondary - a wide range of credit courses that meet Ontario curriculum guidelines; non-credit courses in English as a Second Language  A testing service for Adult High School Equivalency: The General Educational Development (GED) testing program allows adults who have not finished high school to show that they have acquired the knowledge and skills associated with, and comparable to, high school completion. Successful GED candidates earn the Ontario High School Equivalency Certificate.

Eligibility	ILC Courses: permanent resident of Ontario or Ontario resident temporarily living outside of Ontario, 18 yrs or over (under 18 accepted under special circumstances). GED Testing Program: Ontario residents, 18 and over, who have been out of school for at least one year.

Fees	$40 per ILC credit course   $100 to write the GED Tests
