Areas ServedNiagara Region - excluding Fort Erie and the catchment area of Fort Erie
DescriptionSupport, advocacy, information, referral and recreational activities for persons affected by acquired brain injuries and their families. Caregiver support and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Group are held off site, in addition to other peer support groups that are also held at off-site locations in St Catharines, Niagara Falls and Welland. Annual awareness and prevention campaigns in community to encourage wearing appropriate helmet for sports activities.

EligibilityAdults 18 years of age and older * Individuals who have sustained an acquired brain injury and their families/caregivers coping with the lifelong effects of brain injury, residing in area of service

FeesNone ; BIAN membership and/or program fee required for individuals with an acquired brain injury who wish to access YMCA (also, subject to completion of required forms and physician's certification, and must reside in our area of service)
