DescriptionThe ministry's mission is to manage our natural resources in an ecologically sustainable way to ensure that they are available for the enjoyment and use of future generations. 
 
* protects and conserves public land and waters * provides information on Crown Lands * provides information about fishing regulations, limits and licences * sells licences at Service Ontario Outlets * information on hunting regulations and licences * information on courses and exams necessary for persons to obtain a hunting licence * implemented a new licencing system of an Outdoors Card 
 
Provides advice on wild birds and animals in distress and take complaints about poaching, fishing violations, etc. This office does not deal with the coyote problem, nuisance animals and will not provide animal control services. (People can hire someone to trap them including licenced trappers, or pest control companies) 
 
To report a violation, call 1-877-TIPS-MNR (1-877-847-7667), 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.  
 
The Niagara area office does not have a front counter service. Please note meetings with staff are by appointment only.
Supplementary DescriptionThe Ministry of Natural Resources Southern Region is divided up into nine districts - Aurora (Greater Toronto Area), Aylmer, Bancroft, Guelph, Kemptville, Midhurst, Parry Sound, Pembroke and Peterborough. The Niagara area office is part of Guelph District. Ministry staff throughout the region work to deliver the core business as defined by natural resource management, public safety and emergency response and geographic information.
