DescriptionA charitable organization that assists abused women and their children. Qualified and experienced staff provide telephone counselling 24-hours a day; one-to-one and group counselling; safe, temporary shelter in a 34-bed home; meals and emergency clothing; children's counselling and recreation programs; support programs for women in the community who are fleeing from violence; Family law advice and information, and advocacy in the criminal justice system; public education; and referrals to other community services. Services are available to both residents and non residents. All of our services are free and confidential. Also offer speakers on women abuse and related topics and undertake community fundraising. 
 
Family Court Support Worker Program -- information on the family court process * assistance in documenting the history of abuse for family court proceedings * referral to specialized services and supports in the community * safety planning * court accompaniment to proceedings when appropriate
