| Description | The local Ontario Early Years Satellite Site location for the Pelham community, offering a free family education and support program for parents and child care providers of children newborn to 6 years of age. A wide variety of programs are designed to promote adult/child interaction for the promotion of healthy child development and effective parenting/care-giving skills. There are no fees for our programs and services. STAY & PLAY TOGETHER PROGRAM: promotes literacy and numeracy skills building, social skills building, language development, listening skills etc. BABY & ME STAY & PLAY TOGETHER PROGRAM: on Thursday mornings, the Developmental Program Planning will focus on infants. The regular Interactive Play program will also be open. INFANT MASSAGE CLASSES: for parents/caregivers with babies aged newborn - approx 10 months (pre-crawling). This free program helps parents in learning to read their infant's cues and how to respond to their baby more readily. It also enhances the parent-infant relationship through effective bonding activities. Infant Massage provides a time for parents to be totally focused on their baby. Outdoor play space available, weather permitting. Opportunities for volunteering and College student placements. | |||
